we should probably save a few things for when owen is older and can remember how fun his parents are, but life is too short! we took on three days of ragbrai this season and as you can see here aunt fran, kate and owen are stretching out after our first night tenting. owen slept like a champ, despite the trains rolling through town on the hour, the band and the guys chatting through the night on the porch just next to our tent...the true ragbrai experience! the rest of us were a bit blurry eyed but well worth the adventure!

Fourth of July - Asheville NC

Just outside America's largest home which boasts 250 rooms, 65 fireplaces, an indoor pool, bowling alley, priceless art and antiques with an 8,000 acre backyard. The Biltmore Estate is quite impressive!

i've aged two months

i'm two months old and growing fast. i'm a whopping 9 lbs 10 oz and 22 inches tall. i had my first series of shots and it wasn't too painful, only three pokes by a 2"needle! i was a tough guy for dr. burn and cried just a little bit. good thing mom brought dad along, otherwise we would have had to carry her out. if you haven't seen me for a while, i laugh,

but most of all i am so spoiled by my mom! (still have the soothie tighly held in my mouth, at least i'm growing so it only covers a quarter of my face)

summer celebrations...

it was fun meeting aunt fran + ben for the first time! they couldn't stay long, but promise to be back soon. i think i should go visit them, auntie kasey and martin in sunny california!
