chicago adventure...

we took our first adventure to chicago with uncle rich, g-pa and g-ma clark. owen enjoyed his first flight and our time window shopping up and down michigan avenue. the weather was incredible the whole time. we stayed in the heart of downtown and were in the mix of a new movie being filmed on e. wacker drive. we had a view from our room so it was fun to watch the helicopter film from above as busses and cars were staged to flip and crash. angelina jolie was on the set filming, but we didn't linger long enough to see her, if it was jessica biel we (or steve) would have been camping out all day and into the night!

oh yeah, this is nice!

chicago adventure...

we were too tired to go out for dinner so we opted to test the room service at the hotel. as you can see by the lovely dessert, it was a great idea and extraordinarily nice!

owen enjoyed his one month party at the drake. at one month, he weighs in at 7 lbs 14 oz and is 20.75 inches long graduating him to 'jumbo peanut' status.

no experience necessary

welcome owen reis clark

owen was born 19 april 2007 at 9:26 am. he is 5 lbs 11 oz + 17 inches long.

he is our little peanut. it's still sinking in that he is our little creation! he is doing great, our days are filled with eating, sleeping and lots of diapers! he came a couple days early. i had my weekly dr. visit wed the 18th and which included an ultrasound that told us he was in breech position! yikes, we were glad to know before i went into active labor, but then again it meant he was to be delivered via c-section. scary process, but we knew it was the best for the both mom + baby, not sure about dad...it was a rough day but we all recovered well and are happy to be home enjoying our new little addition!

home sweet home
